Deputy Director x 2 posts
Welcome to a truly unique opportunity.
The Public Health Shared service of Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham and Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea has recently gone through a transformation programme and we’re now recruiting for two Deputy Directors who believe they have strategic vision, innovation and passion to deliver the best public health outcomes for our communities.
You will work with the Director and other members of the senior management team to develop and lead the delivery of the public health function across the three boroughs. You will be a public health specialist and a natural engager, building effective working relationships with senior managers and stakeholders and driving the implementation of the shared service Health and Well-being strategy. You will need to have the credibility and gravitas to succeed in a fast moving and customer-focused enterprising environment. You will be based at Westminster but our flexible approach to working means you will work across the boroughs.
You will provide public health expertise, advice and leadership to the three councils, Clinical Commissioning Groups and other partner organisations on the development and implementation of programmes and policies to improve health and wellbeing. You will be responsible for leading teams to deliver national, local and regional policies and projects that address prevention, treatment and care whilst being effective and accessible.
You will share with the Director responsibility for managing the political interface in one particular Borough. Depending on the Borough you will also be responsible for developing a strategic relationship with a specific commissioning function (Adults, Children and Young People, or supra-District NHS).
You will have the chance to collaborate with experts in their fields who have the same passion as you - to improve the future lives of millions of people across our boroughs.
This is an opportunity, like no other. Apply now and be where it all happens.
Closing Date: 25th January 2017
