DIGITAL MEDIA OFFICER
GRADE D - £18,560 - £21,057
Erewash Borough Council seeks to employ a Digital Media Officer as part of the Communications and Culture team based at Ilkeston Town Hall.
As Digital Media Officer you will work closely with the communications team in order to fully appreciate its strategic aims and to frame that message and translate it for publication across a broad range of digital platforms. As the Council is set to review its corporate website and re-launch its intranet site in the near future as well as extending the use of social media channels, you will play a vital role in working with internal and external stakeholders; educating content editors and creating quality content for publication. You will help empower the workforce at all levels to take ‘ownership’ of communication channels.
You must have Digital Media and communications experience and an in-depth knowledge of web/digital platforms, including social media. Able to interact at all levels in a diverse employee population you can deploy your passion for content, your creativity and your drive in order to ensure you promote the council’s interests and effectively communicate the council’s message to the public.
It is desirable that applicants should have an appropriate qualification in Journalism and/or Interactive Media or be able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience. For an informal discussion about this post, please contact Stewart Millar, Communications and Culture Manager on 0115 907 2244 ext 3578 or work mobile 07801 890216.
The closing date for applications is 12 March 2017 and interviews will be held on 22 March 2017.
