Director of Student Life

The University of East London is a dynamic and rapidly expanding University at the heart of Europe’s largest regeneration area and adjacent to the site of the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. We have a longstanding reputation for practical engagement with regeneration which has developed into wide-ranging scholarship related to the 2012 Games and Legacy.

The successful candidate will help us create the best possible experience for UEL students, embracing all aspects of student life from the first point of applicant contact, through to post-graduation. As well as line managing the department of Student Services, the postholder will drive through change and innovation outside the current scope of the service to encompass the wider student experience. The University’s strategy, Transformation for Excellence, sets out our aim to offer an outstanding student experience in all aspects of UEL life. This post is essential to realising that aim.

We are seeking an exceptional leader who ideally would be an existing director or deputy director of Student Services looking for a new transformational challenge. We would also welcome applications from exceptional candidates outside HE who have experience of delivering related services in a membership organisation.

The closing date for applications is 6th March 2012.

An assessment centre will be held on 11th April 2012 and interviews on 12th April 2012.
