You will support the Domestic Abuse sergeants across Bucks BCU by providing a first line risk assessment and prioritisation process. You will carry out risk assessment of Domestic Abuse incidents and prioritise into high, medium and standard risk and carry out secondary investigation as appropriate.
The role will also involve preparing reports for outside agencies regarding disclosure of Domestic Abuse, and organising multi-agency panels MARAC/MAPPA. This will include arranging the administration and minutes and distributing to partner agencies, providing research and preparation on victims/offenders†and dealing with actions. It is essential that you keep up to date with trends, demographics and research into Domestic Abuse issues as well as an understanding of legal procedures in order to assist with risk management.
You will be responsible for preparing a monthly audit of Domestic Abuse showing the level of risk across the Basic Command Unit. Using crime analysis to show trends across the BCU as well as the use of future forecasting of Domestic Abuse to predict future incident levels, you will prepare supplementary reports for Management and reports for outside agencies regarding disclosure of Domestic Abuse.
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work successfully with minimum supervision, prioritise and be well-organised with workload and exercise good time management. Sensitivity, tact and discretion and a robust disposition given the nature of the work will also be essential requirements of the role. You must also be educated to A Level or equivalent or possess relevant and recent work experience.
IT literacy, a good knowledge and competency in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Outlook), CEDAR, Command and Control and CIS will also be essential. Please quote reference: 4138.
