We provide transport for children and adults with Special Educational Needs to and from their schools and day centres. We are currently in search of drivers to join our team either on term time only contracts or to join our pool of as and when staff.

If you have a passion for working with adults and children with Special Educational Needs then you could be the person we are looking for.

  • Experience would be an advantage although training will be available.
  • Are you enthusiastic, do you enjoy working with children and adults?
  • Our passengers have a varying amount of special needs including: behavioural problems, hearing or visual impairment, slight mobility difficulties or severe physical difficulties.
  • Are you available to work split shift between 7.00am – 10.00am then 2.00pm – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday?
  • Are you physically fit and able to manoeuvre and secure wheelchairs?
  • You will be required to hold a clean driving licence and be aged over 25 with at least three years’ driving experience in the UK.
  • You will need experience with both automatic and manual vehicles.
  • The posts require an enhanced CRB.

Duties

You will be responsible for the safe transportation of children and adults. Your main objective will be to provide a safe, efficient and effective service to our passengers while ensuring you meet their needs, always taking into account the health, safety and welfare of your passengers. Your duties will also include monitoring and reporting any concerns you may have. You will need to be sympathetic, patient and have an understanding approach.
