ELECTION DUTIES MAY 2015

Expressions of Interest are invited from people wishing to undertake Election duties in May 2015.

Would you like to help make history? For the Elections Team at Lancaster City Council, 2015 is a year like no other. We have the challenge of running two Parliamentary Constituency Elections, local City Council elections and Parish Council elections. All elections will take place on the same day – Thursday 07 May 2015.

We are looking for expressions of interest from people who would like to work in a variety of roles:

Leading up to the election – postal vote opening staff

Thursday 07 May 2015 – Polling station staff who can work from 6.30am until 10.00pm

Thursday 07 May 2015 – Parliamentary count staff who can work from 10.00pm until the counts are finished.

Saturday 09 May 2015 – Local and Parish election count staff to work from 9am until the counts are finished

Postal Vote opening sessions take place at Lancaster Town Hall. Polling stations are located throughout the whole of the district and the counts will all take place at Salt Ayre Sports Centre.

Rates of pay are not confirmed at this stage, however these will be included in any offer of employment made to you.
