Hours:The hours for this post are 37 per week. For many posts, the Council operates a system of flexible working hours, subject to individual management approval. However normal working hours in this post would be 8.30 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30 am to 4.30 pm on Friday. Although this post is for 37 hours a week, you should be prepared to work additional hours, as and when required, especially at election times. 

Salary:The salary for the post is as follows: SCP14 £16,504 SCP15 £16,849 SCP16 £17,255 SCP17 £17,663

There are many exciting changes taking place in the democratic process and, if you feel up to facing the many challenges to come, this post may be the one for you.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our friendly team in Electoral Services to assist in the processes of electoral registration and the smooth running of elections.
The ability to communicate effectively, orally, in writing or on the phone, is essential. You will also have good IT skills to enable you to use the Computershare electoral computer software package, for which training will be given.
In addition, you will be someone who has good administration skills, always pays great attention to detail and who works well as part of a small team, remaining calm in busy periods. If you are also committed to providing a first class service, please apply to join our dedicated team.
The requirement to study for the professional electoral qualification will be supported.
