Employer Engagement Officer

Supporting our customers to move on to life-changing job opportunities.

The role

You will enable individuals from local communities to access work placement and employment opportunities. Focused on overcoming barriers, you will assist in sourcing a range of interventions that will enable customers to access internal and external apprenticeships and sustainable employment opportunities.

Your role will involve identifying potential employers from our current client base, contractors, and partner groups, setting up meetings, and delivering presentations to develop partnerships and provide in-work support. You’ll also screen potential recruits to ensure that customers match employer’s requirements.

The requirements

• A highly skilled communicator and presenter.
• You’ll also need experience of motivating and building the confidence of the long-term unemployed, perhaps in a benefits advice or debt counselling role.
• Organised and methodical, you will have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as a range of databases and the internet.
• Your ability to spot opportunities and get employers on board will make a real difference to the lives of our customers.
• You will require the skills to develop long term sustainable relationships with employers, to maximise and enhance employment opportunities
