Employer Engagement Officer

Supporting our customers to move on to life-changing job opportunities.

The role

You will involve identifying potential employers from our current client base, contractors, and partner organisations, setting up meetings, and delivering presentations to develop partnerships. You’ll also screen potential recruits to ensure that customers match employers’ requirements.

You will enable customers from local communities to access work placement and employment opportunities. Focused on overcoming barriers, you will provide a range of advice, enable customers to access internal and external apprenticeships and sustainable employment opportunities, and provide in –work support to enable the customer to sustain their employment.

The requirements

• A highly skilled communicator and presenter, you will have or be working towards a recruitment and selection qualification.
• You’ll also need experience of motivating and building the confidence of the long-term unemployed, perhaps in a benefits advice or debt counselling role.
• Organised and methodical, you will have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as a range of databases and the internet.
• Your ability to spot opportunities and get employers on board will make a real difference to the lives of our customers.
