The team’s work covers food safety, including infectious disease investigations, health and safety at work and public health legislation in commercial premises. Officers have the opportunity to get involved in education and promotional activities, including European Week for Safety & Health and National Food Safety Week campaigns. The team has recently launched a hygiene premises rating scheme, based on the nationally recognised ‘Scores on the Doors’.
