Executive Support Co-ordinator

Opportunities have arisen for two highly skilled individuals to provide a professional
administrative and clerical service to the Principal Officers of East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service (ESFRS). The roles support the Principal Officers in their local, regional & national work and develop the organisation’s strategic intelligence and policy review processes by assisting the Assistant Chief Officer (People & Organisational Development) and the Head of Organisational Development in the management of the improvement agenda for the organisation.

Specific duties will include:

  • Ensuring that all corporate policies support the strategic direction of the organisation.
  • Working with both the Head of Business Planning and Head of Business & Risk
    Management and other personnel with specific corporate policy responsibilities.
  • Undertaking effective communication and networking activities.

Applicants are required to hold a Degree in Business Studies or equivalent, and/or a relevant management qualification or specific qualification(s) in the areas of business management or finance. Candidates will possess working knowledge of IT applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Office. Previous experience of working in a similar role is a prerequisite.

There is a requirement to travel and stay overnight to attend meetings.
