Facilities & Projects Surveyor (COTD093)
Salary: Up to £34,196 pa plus £5K market supplement –
We are also seeking to appoint an experienced Facilities & Projects Surveyor to manage a range of repair and improvement projects, from initial feasibility to post-completion.
Working as a member of our Corporate Estates and Facilities team, you will be responsible for carrying out surveys and inspections, arranging repairs, undertaking feasibility studies and cost estimates, specifying and procuring contracted works, and overseeing both contractors and consultants. You will also help in the planning and implementation of the Council’s forward maintenance programme.
The role involves providing technical advice and extensive liaison with colleagues in other departments and external stakeholders, so excellent communication skills are essential. As well as a sound understanding of building technology and repairs, you will be expected to demonstrate significant experience in specification, procurement and project management. Candidates will be expected to hold a relevant professional qualification (e.g. TechRICS, MRICS, MCIOB).
