Facilities Officer

These posts are based at County Hall in Kingston upon Thames, and take responsibility for a number of sites in different areas of the County.

Role Description:
We are looking for someone who is self motivated and has a passion for creating the right physical environment for the Services who occupy our premises throughout the County. You will take ownership for a range of hard and soft facilities functions within dedicated districts in either the West or East of the County across a range of diverse sites. You will need to demonstrate a good practical approach to prioritising and updating building maintenance schedules and delivering these schemes in conjunction with the Council’s external term contractors.

You will need to ensure that our sites are fit for purpose and accessible and to play a significant role in all aspects of compliance at our sites, so the successful applicant will need to demonstrate a sound understanding and practical experience of the completion of fire risk assessments. An appropriate professional qualification and knowledge of current health and safety legislation is essential.

You will be a highly motivated and organised individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to build strong working relationships with end users, schools and contractors.
