Funding has been secured for this post until 31 March 2013 subject to further funding.
Our Children’s Centre benefits from being part of Sheep Dip Lane Primary School and Governors are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker. You will support the team to realise our school and centre vision to ensure that every child is given the best start in life.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to work as pro-active team member. You will have a good understanding of how to develop and facilitate high quality play activities and provision. You will be required to work with children and families within the home and when appropriate in other locations e.g. The Centre, schools etc. You will be required to work in partnership with a range of professionals and organisations to ensure integrated services identify and meet the needs of children and families in our reach area.
You will have a good knowledge and experience of safeguarding procedures. You will actively promote the positive ethos of the centre and its services within the community.
The successful candidate will:
• Be enthusiastic and committed to high standards of work to improve outcomes for children and families.
• Inspire confidence and trust in children, parents and colleagues.
• Have the ability to work flexible hours meeting community needs including some weekends and evenings.
• Have an excellent understanding of multi agency working.
• Have experience and knowledge of multi agency working particularly with children and their families between the ages of 0 – 10.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
