Are you looking to develop your career within Surrey Children’s Service?
You will be a member of a social care team, working alongside social workers and other partners, agencies and the voluntary sector to support children and their families in the community. Surrey Children’s Service provides training to ensure competence and professional development and the opportunity to undertake further training.
Working to support social workers in the team, you will work intensively and in a planned way with the young person, family or carers and other agencies and services, supporting children and families to achieve their potential.
Surrey Children’s Service believes that the welfare of children and their families is paramount. Team members are enthusiastic and supportive, committed to the provision of a quality service for children and their carers and we are looking for people with similar qualities to join these teams to continue the good work already being done.
No two days in any of the teams will be the same. You’ll need experience of working with children in a paid or voluntary area, or an interest in the welfare and care of children and young people. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are also vital.
An enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure and POVA/POCA check will be required for this role, together with a full driving licence and use of a car.
