You will be:

  • responsible for the oversight and governance of case management through the supervision and management of level 1, 2 &3 Social Workers; ensuring the production of quality assessments which identify need and outcome focussed care plans which inform individual client commissioning decisions.
  • drive cases to meet the child’s needs promptly within the prescribed timescales and to ensure that children are properly protected and supported within the community and within the care system.
  • monitor supervisee’s performance and collate performance data to meet statutory duties, service evaluation and planning.
  • assist the Principal Practitioner manage the delivery of needs led services to children and families

A CQSW/DipSW or equivalent qualification, previous experience in child care and a good knowledge of relevant legislation is essential. It is essential that the postholder must have the ability to travel throughout the County on a regular basis, often to and from remote locations at short notice.

As the team works in a bilingual area, the ability to communicate in both Welsh and English is advantageous for the above post.
