It’s a great time to be joining Adult Services Finance. Islington has recently been awarded three stars and is “improving well”. We have an impressive track record of service improvement and our partnerships are already well established.
We now have one permanent and one year-long fixed term contract opportunity within the service for two Finance Officers and are looking for high quality, experienced staff to contribute to the continuing improvement of the finance function.
Your main objectives will be to support the Head of Finance in delivering an effective finance and accounting service, promote sound financial management and play an integral part in service and business planning. You will need to be committed to performance management and delivering continuous improvement.
The post will report directly to a Senior Finance Officer.
Successful candidates for the Finance Officer post will:
Have 2 year’s local government experience in an accountancy/financial management environment, including an understanding of Adult’s Services and be actively studying towards a CCAB qualification
