If you want to make a difference please read on. A newly created full time post has been established in the illegal money lending team. The role is to promote financial inclusion through raising awareness of the project and support victims and potential victims of loan sharks and illegal money lenders. Across the South East region and surrounding Local Authorities you will devise and deliver a financial inclusion programme that is tailored to local needs by engaging key stakeholders. Some evenings and weekend working and travelling will be required in this new role, a role that will be extremely rewarding to the right individual.
You will need to be pro-active, empathetic and be able to work on your own initiative, at times in a pressured environment. You will be required to carry out a wide range of duties including presentations, talks and face to face support. A good knowledge of Financial Inclusion and Financial Literacy agendas is essential as well as being able to communicate at all levels.
Contract until 31 March 2011 or potential for secondment opportunity, subject to approval from your employer.
The salary for this post is £30,598 to £37,543 per annum (Grade 5) and is subject to a bar at £34,140.
