We are looking for a competent, hard working and motivated Fire Safety Officer to join our busy Health and Safety Team.
This is an interesting and diverse role for an experienced fire safety person with excellent inter-personal skills who can communicate effectively with a broad range of people.
The promotion and implementation of good fire safety practices is one of our top corporate priorities and this role will provide support to our Health & Safety Manager in this key area.
Responsibilities will include the co-ordination and project management of our residential communal areas fire safety project, the monitoring of our fire safety programme, carrying out fire risk assessments and an involvement in staff fire safety training.
Overall, the successful applicant will ensure that we comply with relevant health & safety and fire safety legislation, codes of practice and general guidance.
With a proven track record of carrying out successful fire safety / health and safety activities in a relevant context, undertaking fire risk assessments and holding a relevant recognised fire safety qualification, you will be able to work effectively as part of a team, take responsibility and have the motivation and energy to deliver excellent services that will make a positive difference to people’s lives.
