The post-holder will contribute to the delivery of the Council’s Highway’s Capital Programme and assist with the design, procurement and supervision of highway improvement schemes.
You should preferably have a degree in Civil Engineering but candidates with lower levels of qualification and suitable experience will also be considered. Computer literacy and a working understanding of AutoCAD are essential along with experience in highway design and project management.

Due to the nature of the duties in relation to this role, the incumbent will be required to have a car available at work. Essential Car User status attracts a lump sum allowance paid on a monthly basis as well as a free car parking space if he/she works at one of the Council’s corporate buildings.
