Graduate Trainee (National Graduate Development Programme) – 2 year fixed term contract – to start September 2017
The environment and housing are just a fraction of the services that Woking Borough Council is constantly working to improve. We are looking for the next generation of managers to lead critical projects and services that have tangible, everyday outcomes for people’s lives.
We are looking for an individual to take part in the National Graduate Development Programme which fast tracks graduates into management careers in local government. Work on issues that matter whilst building your career in the public sector, the largest employer in the UK.
Our graduate will work in at least three different parts of the council over two years. They will gain insight into the front line, operational delivery and corporate management of council services. This experience is supported through a learning and development programme delivered online and through residential events with other management trainees.
Our trainee will join a strong network of like-minded peers who support their personal and professional development.
This is a national scheme and you can either apply directly to Woking Borough Council or nationally (which means you can apply to work at any of the participating councils) however you can only apply once each year.
