Group Leader – Building Services
PO7 £49,176 - £52,071 p.a. + additional £9,000 Market Supplement p.a. (paid in monthly instalments on top of salary).
If you are an experienced Engineer with drive, ambition and the ability to manage a large technical team who undertake variety of electrical, mechanical and communal heating projects this will be an opportunity for you.
The opportunity is for a Group Leader to join our Building Services team. You will be responsible for a team who undertake major works across the London Borough of Islington to ensure engineering services are maintained to a satisfactory standard.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record managing a building services team and have the ability to ensure the highest possible standards are maintained. You will lead by example, provide support to the team and maintain clear lines of communication with all clients, stakeholders and the senior management team.
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and managerial skills combined with excellent technical knowledge. You will have the ability to manage a team who design, procure and deliver a variety of Mechanical, Electrical and Lift Installation works to ensure programmes are delivered in line with the organization requirements. You will have the ability to overcome challenges which may arise to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.

You will be responsible for the development and delivery of the forward five year asset management plan and capital improvement programme to ensure engineering services are maintained to a good standard and are fully compliant with the latest statutory regulations and codes of practice .
You will be expected to be conversant with the requirements of all statutory Health and Safety policies and procedures and the latest CDM Regulations to effectively carry out the role.
A Standard level DBS ‘Disclosure and Barring Service’ check for regulated activity (formerly known as CRB) will be required for this role.
