At Southend, we’ve taken great steps to improve access to services in Adult Social Care. We’re part of the ‘People’ department and are working closely with Children’s services to ensure residents have access to seamless and quality support services, when they need them, throughout all stages of their lives.
We have some excellent partnership arrangements with our local health partners and as an Integration Pioneer authority we are keen to move forward at scale and pace.
Whilst we have the right amount of drive and ambition we are looking to recruit a new Group Manager who’ll take a strategic view of our services, jointly delivered with partners, to ensure they make a positive and tangible difference to the lives of vulnerable adults.
Your overarching objective will be to review our underpinning partnership agreements for mental health and other integrated services and to maximise integration across Health and Social Care. You will represent the Council and further augment positive relationships across partners such as Children’s Services, other LA’s, Providers, Health and the Third Sector. To be considered for this role, you’ll be able to demonstrate robust stakeholder management, negotiation skills and analytical thinking.
You’ll also build on previous successes and contribute to our Pioneer Programme, which is taking forward an ambitious integration programme across all sectors. For us, this award demonstrates our passion to remain at the forefront and lead in achieving better outcomes for our service users.
If you are a successful and ambitious Manager in Adults Social Care, either within a Local Authority or Health care setting with a track record of improving and integrating adult social care services and sound knowledge of the integration agenda, then this is the role for you.
In return, we offer an attractive salary package as well as generous benefits and the chance to influence our strategic direction for Adult Social Care.
Closing date: 19th September (4pm)
