NHS North Staffordshire was formed in October 2006 and is responsible for providing the health services for a population of over 210,000 across Newcastle-under-Lyme and Staffordshire Moorlands. With an ambitions agenda for improving healthcare, we are accelerating the delivery of our healthcare improvement strategy through several significant healthcare transformation projects.

Skills:

Reporting to the Deputy Finance Director you will be responsible for consolidating the monthly accounts and forming a view of the Trusts overall financial position. Contributing to the Directorate Management Team you will lead on business support services and define the system reforms and change process to deliver appropriate solutions. Utilising your significant analysis skills you will undertake specific projects to identify areas of potential benefit, ensure fair apportionment of service charges and seek solutions to potential risk.

Fundamentally we are looking for an individual who understands the import role finance plays in delivering excellent healthcare. We would encourage candidates from a commercial or broader public sector background who are able to demonstrate an understanding of current NHS developments to apply. You will need to demonstrate the ability to interface between the technical accounting requirements of the role and the delivery of the Trusts overall strategic ambitions. A qualified accountant who is ambitious and energetic with a successful track record of working in a constantly changing environment
