We are currently seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to join our well established but highly ambitious organisation. This is an exciting time to join Catalyst as we embark on an accelerated period of growth and change with a clear plan to push forward the Commercial arm of our business.
Catalyst is one of the leading housing associations in London and the South East, developing homes for both rent and outright sale, and acting as an agent for change within local communities. We are constantly adapting and evolving our services to meet a changing environment and the changing needs of our customers. At Catalyst we are fiercely proud of our mission to become the model 21st century provider of homes: applying social and commercial entrepreneurship to tackle social exclusion, and building innovative mixed-tenure communities. We will develop a supply chain that matches our ambition and plays a crucial role in the delivery of our strategic plans.
As Head of Procurement you will be required to implement a revised strategy and lead a specialist team to deliver excellent performance and maximise opportunities throughout the Supply Chain. You will support the business directorates to deliver challenging targets whist adding substantial value to our operating construct through collaborative relationships. You’ll create and embed a procurement capability that delivers top-quartile performance and is the envy of the sector. You’ll spearhead the rationalisation of the supply base to ensure optimum performance, we want to engage with and work with the best. Naturally, ensuring compliant procurement practices in statutory, regulatory and internal business requirements are a given.
You will have an impressive experience of leadership and implementation skills in procurement across a range of industries. You will be able to demonstrate a track record of delivery against tough strategic, operational and tactical objectives with a broad knowledge of private and public sector at a senior level. You will be a qualified procurement specialist holding MCIPS or equivalent, comfortable working under pressure and prioritising accordingly. Experience operating in a customer facing role within a complex supply chain construct and a professional qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable. You’ll be someone that is looking to make an impact, with the track-record and confidence to deliver, and recognise this opportunity as a stepping-stone to better things.
We recognise that our success lies within our people so if you have the ambition, skills and experience we are looking for, you are inspired by our vision and you believe you can make a difference we’d love to hear from you.
The role is subject to a basic DBS check.
