Health & Fitness Manager

Reading Sport & Leisure are seeking to appoint a hardworking and motivated individual to devise and co-ordinate the implementation of initiatives to increase the membership and attendance of council managed Gyms.

You will also manage a team of Health & Fitness consultants, and be required to undertake customer inductions, fitness assessments and lead group training sessions as and when required.

You will posess the following :

• a Gym Instructors certificate: OCR/RSA, YMCA, FFI, Focus, ACSM, Premiere or equivalent
• good communication skills with a proven track record of generating new business and income
• the ability to lead and motivate a team of staff in a customerfocussed environment
• an understanding of issues and barriers , which impact upon the engagement of new and existing customers
• experience of maintaining high standards of facility maintenance and management
• the ability and willingness to work across all RSL sites.

This job will require the working of unsocial hours on a shift pattern.
