We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, professional to provide specialist health and safety guidance to the Council.
You will need excellent communication and influencing skills, as you will play a key role in promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout our organisation. To this end you must be able to deal effectively with all Council staff and contractors and be able to offer practical solutions in a wide range of workplace situations.
Qualified to NEBOSH Diploma (Part 2) or equivalent and with detailed and extensive relevant experience in a similar role, you will be responsible for reviewing and developing policies, procedures and systems to ensure compliance with best practice and relevant legislation and you will develop training programmes for our staff. You will also have the opportunity of assisting the Council’s environmental health team in rolling out health and safety campaigns to local businesses.
