An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and well-organised individual to act as Health and Wellbeing Adult Learning Teacher for Hertfordshire Adult and Family Learning Service (HAFLS). You will be expected to deliver high quality teaching and learning, develop teaching courses and resources and ensure that the team meets Ofsted requirements.
The post is a 0.6 position with some hours on a Friday for teaching and team meetings. We are looking for a teacher who is dedicated, flexible and willing to travel across the county and to work some evenings or Saturdays.
Experience of delivering in a Health, Wellbeing or Active Lifestyles environment is vital and can be seen in more detail in the relevant section of the job outline.
HAFLS is based at County Hall Hertford and is funded by the government and part of Hertfordshire County Council. It is responsible for delivering adult and family learning across Hertfordshire, engaging with over 7,000 learners each year. It has a small direct delivery team, with the majority of work subcontracted to well establish local learning providers. The service was last inspected by Ofsted in 2012 when it was judged as 'Good'. As a Hertfordshire County Council employee you would be entitled to the local authority government pension scheme and associated benefits including relevant training.
