An opportunity has arisen to become part of the team at Drove Road as a home care support worker. In this role you will be supporting young people with challenging and complex needs to participate in all aspects of daily life.

As a part of the team you will need to:

• Have a knowledge/experience of working with children and young people with a range of disabilities.
• Be committed to providing opportunities for inclusion of the young people within the service and out in the community.
• Be able to manage Complex and challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner.
• Be able to support young people with complex needs in all aspects of their daily living.
• Work on a rota basis, including weekends and evenings, to complete daily tasks and ensure high standards within the home. Work well in a highly motivated and committed team. To be able to work in the different settings for children across the service as required.
Candidates will ideally possess an QCF level 3 (previously NVQ level 3) or equivalent, but if not should have a willingness to work towards one within tow years of being appointed. If possessing level 3 then appointment at scale 5 will be considered for the right candidates.

The holding of a full clean driving licence will be considered as part of your application, with regard to the needs of the service and it's users
