We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to work within the Resettlement team of our Housing Resource Centre. Candidates with exceptional investigatory and customer care experience, skills that are enthusiastic, hard-working, helpful and sensitive to join our busy Resettlement team. You will be providing a front-line service, advice and information about the Councils housing options to the public that require help with finding accommodation.
Main duties will include interviewing, assessing and resettling the homeless.

You will:

- be expected to carry out an assessment of housing need in line with current legislation and offer suitable housing solutions

- also be assisting people in stressful circumstances and will need to be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, be resilient yet able to support customers and colleagues

- need to have experience of providing services to the public in a similar capacity, and experience of casework. A working knowledge of the homeless legislation and housing issues would be helpful although not essential

- need a good standard of general education
