This is a temporary role, initially until 31 March 2014, however, an extension may be possible if funding allows.

Woking Borough Council’s Home Improvement Agency, Homelink is a partnership project which provides a valuable service to elderly and disabled residents throughout the two Boroughs of Woking and Surrey Heath.

The Agency’s aim is to assist residents to remain independent safe and secure in their own homes, by considering alternative housing options and finding ways to adapt, repair or maintain their existing home.

We are looking for an Admin and Support Officer to provide general support for the Agency. You will be dealing with all types of enquiry and processing grants in order to meet the needs of vulnerable peoplewho own their own homes or privately rent, liaising with various agencies and maintaining accurate records for the service.

A commitment to delivering high quality customer care, working as part of a team, knowledge of Word Excel and Outlook and good verbal and written communication skills is essential.

An awareness of Home Improvement Agencies and their work and the problems facing the client group to remain independent in their homes would be an advantage.
