Location:Bradford Industrial Museum

We are seeking to appoint a Horse keeper to cover a maternity leave. You will work a 37hour per week shift system which includes weekends and bank holidays. The work will be with heavy horses at the Bradford Industrial Museum, and also in central Bradford and other locations as required.

You must have 12 months experience of working with horses within the last 5 years eg. riding, stable care and harnessing and be able to communicate effectively with both staff and the public; you should be able (after training) to assist and participate in demonstrating to the public and school classes, driving horse drawn vehicles and generally contributing to the care of the horses and the maintenance of the equipment at “Horses at Work”, you should be prepared to follow instructions and observe procedures. Experience of working in a museum or other public service role would be beneficial.
