Tenant Services Team
Fixed-term • Start date: ASAP
We are looking for one full-time Apprentice to work in the Tenant Services Team providing administrative support and liaising with clients inside and outside Reading Borough Council. You will be supported in gaining confidence and experience in working with customers and clients and using a variety of computer packages and systems. You will need to be able to undertake an NVQ Level 2 in Business & Administration with an approved training provider.

Applicants should be organised and committed to working hard and learning, with good IT skills and able to communicate clearly by phone, in person and in writing. You should be flexible, sensitive to the needs of vulnerable people, numerate and able to work to deadlines.
The apprentice post in the Tenant Services Team will focus on supporting officers who deliver a service to tenants living in our 6,000 plus properties. The work of the team is primarily related to supporting tenants to sustain and keep their tenancies, ensuring rent is paid on time, taking action in cases where the tenancy is broken, carrying out regular block, estate and property inspections and supporting and consulting with tenants and local groups to make improvements to their local neighbourhood areas.
