SEAP (South of England Advocacy Projects) manages the Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) Service in Kent and Medway.
This service provides support to people who lack capacity and represents their likely views to those responsible for making decisions.

This part-time role also offers the opportunity to work an additional 15 sessional hours per week as an IMCA Advocate. You will ensure that the IMCA service is actively promoted to all relevant stakeholders in the local health community.
To do this, you will support service delivery through the local team, implement appropriate policies and procedures, and realise the full potential of our advocates.

A capable and confident manager, ideally within the field of advocacy, you will be passionate about empowerment and capable of mentoring and developing staff using your clear understanding of IMCA and DoLS legislation and practice. Good organisational skills will be prerequisite to ensure effective contract compliance and timely reporting and your excellent communication skills will foster positive relationships with commissioners.
