Harrow Tuition Service, The Helix,
Harrow Teachers Centre
Harrow Tuition Service consists of a cross phase Pupil Referral Unit and a Home/Hospital Education Service. The Service also provides Inclusion Support for pupils within mainstream schools in Harrow. We have a strong, committed staff team who work with young people across all age ranges, who are at risk of exclusion or who have been permanently excluded from school.
We have a vacancy for a qualified English Teacher and an Inclusion Support Worker who are looking for something different, something challenging and who enjoy working with children and young people with a wide variety of needs and abilities.
We are looking for a classroom support worker who has enthusiasm, flexibility, patience and a positive interest in working with young people within an educational setting.
You should have a strong interest in art and display work and will develop this role within the service. Ideally, you should hold a qualification in this subject.
You will be expected to:
• work alongside the teaching staff to improve learning and to manage
challenging behaviour
• implement art activities into the curriculum to engage all students
• facilitate break and lunchtimes
• promote positive behaviour for learning.
You should be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths with good ICT skills.
This post is subject to an Enhanced CRB check. Ref. CS-IS2320
Closing date: 10th February.
