Doncaster Independent Domestic Violence Advocacy (IDVA) Service requires a Temporary IDVA due to increasing referrals.
The post is temporary and will be reviewed on a monthly basis.
Applicants must have recent experience of working with victims of domestic abuse, either paid or unpaid, including risk assessment and safety planning, attending/referring to Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC).
You will have a working knowledge of the civil and criminal justice processes relevant to victims of domestic abuse, and have experience of providing practical and emotional support including promoting safety of victims and children, helping them to access housing, benefits, health care services and any other services they need.
You will be confident, articulate and organised, have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be competent in the use of standard IT applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and databases.
