The role supports the Directorate’s policy to be open and transparent whilst protecting the rights of vulnerable people.

This role will be responsible for ensuring that Freedom of Information and Data Protection Act requests received from members of the public by ASC are responded to within the legal timescales. This involves making decisions about whether it is appropriate to disclose information and involves working with colleagues in Legal Services to ensure that the law is being correctly and consistently applied by ASC.
