The Children’s Information Link provides information, guidance and advice to parents and other enquirers about available children’s services in the district, including childcare, nursery education, children’s educational and leisure activities, family support, and health services.
Working within an expanding Children’s Information Link team, based at Howard House, Bradford City Centre and following initial training you will take part in the operation of the Children’s Information Link, responding to telephone, written, and face-to-face enquiries andrequests for information, as well as attend outreach events promoting the service. You will have a responsibility for keeping information up to date, as well as supporting other Children’s Information Link staff in the management and administration of the children’s information service.
You should have:
• A minimum of 2 years experience in a busy office plus an additional 1 years experience of providing information to the public, face to face and by telephone
• experience of using databases or spreadsheets
• GCSEs (A-C) English Language and Maths or equivalent
• IT qualification, including databases to NVQ3 or equivalent
Initial experience and qualifications will determine the starting grade, and there will be opportunities for accelerated progression once in post.
An enhanced disclosure check with the Criminal Records Bureau will be undertaken for this post
