Infrastructure Support Officer – Fire Service Headquarters Reigate
The Information Support Officer role is a new position created as part of a recent review of the support services within Surrey Fire and Rescue service.
The postholder will support the Infrastructure Manager on all service infrastructure matters and help to deliver an integrated, quality and value for money service for Surrey Fire and Rescue.
The role sits within the Logistic Support Function, which includes the Communication Technology and Systems Team, Engineering Team and Infrastructure Team. The Infrastructure Team not only take responsibility for the maintenance of existing properties within the Surrey Fire and Rescue property portfolio, new builds and all plant and machinery together with onsite security systems.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of a wide range of facilities management functions and hold a health and safety qualification NEBOSH or equivalent. They will have a working knowledge of environmental impact assessments and sustainability initiatives in buildings. A working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases is an essential requirement of the role as well as the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation including elected members of Surrey County Council.
