The Innovation Officer will be a key member of the team at HACT, driving the delivery and development of innovative ideas across the business. HACT has a reputation in the social housing sector as an ideas factory, capable of delivering positive change through research, consultancy and products.
The postholder will work across the HACT team to identify new opportunities and incubate ideas, as well as to embed new ways of thinking and to enable other staff members to curate solutions. This dynamic role will involve working both on ideas generation as well as direct project delivery at different points of the innovation cycle, as well as in different parts of HACT’s business. The postholder will possess rampant curiosity, tempered with focus and an innate sense for understanding when (and whether) new ideas are worth investment.
HACT's work is mainly delivered in partnership with other organisations, such as specialist consultancies, think-tanks and trusted partners. The postholder will be responsible for working with these existing partners and identifying and developing new partnerships that add value to HACT’s work and offer.
Working at the cutting edge of new ideas and business development at HACT, the successful candidate will possess skills that blend business development, customer relationship management, partnership building, sales and marketing.
