Little waves Community Nursery is a 22 place nursery for children 0-4 years old within Windwhistle Primary School. As part of South Weston Children’s centre the nursery meets the needs of the people of the Bournville, Coronation and Oldmixon areas of WSM.
We are lookingto recruit apart time, Kitchen Assistant to be part of a committed nursery team providing a caring, learning and fun environment to give the children a positive and successful start in life. This post is all year round and hours are 9:30-1:00 daily.
The kitchen Assistants role is to prepare and serve up snacks and lunches to the children in the nursery and maintain the kitchen area.
The role involves working alongside the nursery team in actively supporting and involving the children in making choices and preparing snacks.
You will need to be an enthusiastic, effective team member, who is organised and enjoys working with young children.
Experience of working in a nursery is desirable and an understanding of Food Hygiene and Health and Safety. Training is provided.
This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitations of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
