Location:Based in Weston-super-Mare 

The Resource Service is the North Somerset Council service working with Looked After Children and Care Leavers. Leaving Care Personal Advisors work alongside young people aged 16-21 supporting their transition to independence and adulthood.

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic staff who have experience of direct work with young people, combined with an appreciation of the needs of Looked After Children. Candidates should have an understanding of the Children’s Acts and also knowledge of the Children Leaving Care Act 2000 and its principles.

A requirement of the post is to be part of an “out of hours service” and do some work at weekends for which extra payments are made.

This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitations of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.
