Lecturer (GSCE) Mathematics (0.5 FTE)

This post involves teaching and assessing on GCSE Mathematics and associated programmes across Entry Level to Level 3 qualifications managed by the school including full and part time programmes.

The School of English and Mathematics delivers and manages GCSE Mathematics, substantial programmes leading to that qualification, Functional Skills, Numeracy and Numeracy Additional Learning Support to full time 16 – 18 year old learners across Newcastle College.

Your hours of work will be flexible and may include evening and weekends according to student demand. You will be required to undertake course leadership responsibility which entails managing a course team, monitoring attendance, retention and achievement and learner support or development leadership responsibilities which entails development of the curriculum.

The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher and have a related degree level academic/vocational qualification in Mathematics.
