You will be expected to provide teaching into our existing Pharmacy (MPharm) and BSc Pharmaceutical Science programmes and our new Master’s courses in Pharmaceutical Sciences. In this role you will join the existing Pharmacy Department team in delivering high quality teaching and research in relevant areas of pharmaceutical microbiology, and will contribute to the academic development of pharmacy and pharmaceutical science.

You will be a pharmaceutical microbiologist with post-qualification experience in either an industrial or academic environment. Industrial experience is a distinct advantage as well as previous teaching experience. You should hold a relevant degree followed by a PhD or equivalent experience in an aspect of pharmaceutical microbiology.

You should have the potential for academic leadership and possess a high level of IT and communication skills. You will also be able to contribute to the research profile of the pharmaceutical science subject area, with active research interests and refereed publications.
