The Surrey Performing Arts Library brings together major collections of materials covering music, dance, theatre, and cinema. It also provides access to an extensive range of reference information in printed and digital formats.
As well as replacing stock on the shelves and keeping the library in good order, the job involves using the library computer system to control the circulation of library stock and give information.
Good computer skills in packages such as MS office will be important, along with excellent communication skills, stamina and a positive attitude towards training and personal development from induction onwards.
With Surrey Performing Arts Library open 27.5 hrs per week, staff may be asked to change work patterns to cover for sickness etc, so you will also need a flexible approach.
