Local Land Charges Assistant

To be a member of a team of two full time and one part time staff dealing with searches of the Local Land Charges Register. Searches are made by solicitors and personal search companies when properties are being sold to identify matters such as nearby road proposals, Tree Preservation Orders, planning restrictions and so on.

You will deal with the day to day receipt, processing and issue of search certificates and replies to supplementary enquiries and maintain the Local Land Charges Register. The post will also provide administrative support to the Legal Services team including maintenance of the legal library and other administrative duties.

We are looking for someone with good organisational, administrative and IT skills. The post holder will need to be flexible in dealing with different areas of work at different times. We need someone with good interpersonal skills, who is able to deal sensitively with customers and work well with colleagues as a member of the team.
