We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Inspector who will beresponsible for visiting residents and Metropolitan properties, working withappointed contractors to ensure responsive repair works and quality standardsare delivered and maintained at agreed levels; according to Metropolitan policiesand contractual agreements.

The successful applicant will be based at our offices in Stockwell,and will be required to provide excellent customer service delivery. They willhave an eye for detail, a good standard of English, as report writing andinterpreting data will be required, and the technical ability gained fromworking in a similar role. A genuine interest in working for social housing isalso required.

EssentialCriteria:

  • Well-developed communication skills.
  • Able to build and sustain workingrelationships with key stakeholders
  • High level of technical knowledge anddiagnosis skills in a construction environment
  • Working knowledge of the CDM, Asbestos and allother regulations relating to the delivery of Maintenance work
  • A demonstrable track record of deliveringservice excellence to a customer base. A record of achievement in making adifference
  • Good planning, organising and prioritisationskills
  • Able to interpret financial and other systemsdata
  • Strong report writing skills. A good standardof written business English
  • An interest in the work of Metropolitan andsocial housing in particular
  • Intermediate IT literacy
  • A full UK driving licence

Desirable Criteria:

  • Formal qualification relevant to theConstruction industry
