Maintenance Surveyor

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Surveyor on an interim basis until 29th June 2012.

The successful applicant will ensure that properties are repaired to relevant standards in the defined work area. Some of the duties will include managing property repair work flows, developing landlord and agent relationships, maintaining accurate up to date records, managing admin and maintenance staff and ensuring properties are repaired with the best value and quality in mind.

This role will require working on a rota basis including unsocial hours, weekends and public holidays providing sleep ins and on calls where appropriate.

All health and safety legislation and organisation policies must be fully complied with.

It is essential that you hold a professional qualification in Property Management and/or significant experience in social rented or private rented sector in procuring, leasing or letting of properties.

Knowledge of relevant standards and specifications required for shared properties and requirements of decent homes are also essential.

The successful applicant will have a basic level of IT literacy and hold a driving licence with access to own car.

Chartered membership of an appropriate organisation would be desirable.

Due to the nature of this post, a Criminal Records Bureau check will be undertaken for the successful applicant, but only with their prior consent.

Contract: Interim until 29th June 2012
Hours: 22.5 per week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
Salary: £24,798 per annum pro rata
