Circa £15,882 – £20,400 pa pro rata for part time hours
Duties may involve a combination of the following tasks:
•Ensure that all food is prepared, cooked and served in strict confidence with Hertfordshire Catering’s published menu and with statutory Food and Nutrient Based Standards. Deliver any special dietary, emergency and function catering as required.
•Maintain an up to date understanding of statutory Food and Nutrient Based Standards and the make up of dishes so that this can be communicated to the customers and encourage them to make healthy choices.
•Maintain standards of food handling, food hygiene and cleanliness.
•Implement the operational management of the Hertfordshire Catering Food Safety Policy to provide a safe and healthy environment for customers and staff in the school, as set out in the Food Safety Manual. Set and monitor standards and compliance with Hertfordshire Catering Policies and Procedures, maintaining audit trail documentation. Understand and work within guidelines of Hertfordshire Catering’s Health & Safety Policy. Ensure that all kitchen staff and visitors to the kitchen comply with these. Work with Area Manager to ensure satisfactory level of training has been provided to all relevant staff.
All catering posts are Monday to Friday, term time only and in most cases, part time.
