Lead MAPPA agencies are Surrey & Sussex Probation Trust, Surrey Police, Sussex Police and HM Prison Services.

MAPPA Lay Adviser

SSPT are looking to recruit two Lay Advisers for Surrey and one for Sussex.

Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) assess and manage the risks to the public from convicted sexual and violent offenders in the community to help reduce re-offending and protect the public.

Lay Advisers are members of the public who will reflect the views and concerns of their community and express these on the management board, developing the principles of risk management in Sussex and Surrey.

We’re inviting applications from all sectors of the community.

Expenses are paid and full training is given. No formal qualifications are required – just a commitment to the community, a balanced and objective approach, and a genuine interest in participation.
